Wolf Yagi 5_11m

   The WY5_11m is a five element yagi style beam that can be mounted for vertical or horizontal polarization. The WY5D_11 is designed for dual polarity.
      The WY5 is a medium to large size beam antenna and should be mounted on a tower (Rohn 25g or larger) and turned by a heavy duty rotor (Ham IV). The WY5D_11m can be ordered with a Quad reflector. The gain is 15.5dBi with a 38dB front to back ratio. The antenna is all aluminum with plated steel u-bolts. The WY5_11m weighs 30 lbs, the boom is 24 feet long and 2 inches in diameter. It has 5/8 inch center elements and 1/2 inch element arms. The longest element is 18 ft. It's stock gamma match can handle 1000 watts of power with higher powers available upon request.

  The WY5 uses a single fiberglass rod for boom support. This takes the sag out of the boom without effecting its performance. This method is strong, easy to assemble and will not stretch. This results in a perfectly strait boom for the life of the antenna. Photo 3 shows the boom to mast plate. Photo 6a shows the fiberglass rod where it anchors to the guy support. Photo 7 shows the guy anchor with turnbuckle, and rod anchor plate.
